Every ring I make is hand woven with round strands of gold, platinum or silver, I weave my rings in different gauges or size of wire so that each braid is shown in 3 different sizes for different size hands.
Gold, White Gold, and Platinum
Small Ladies Rings or Thin Platinum Mens Rings
The smallest wire or gauge that I work with is 20 gauge you can tell these rings by the "20" in the stock # (example 620VS). Because these rings are the smallest they are also the thinnest. Our 20 gauge rigs are great for ladies rings especially under size 8. I can make them larger but if you are someone with an active life style you may consider going with the next size up our 18 gauge. I have made 20 gauge rings in platinum for men and they have worn them with little problem, but this is mostly because of the hard nature of platinum.
Medium Mens and Womens Rings
The next or middle size or gauge wire I work with is the 18 gauge you can tell these rings by the "18" in the stock # (example 618VS). This thickness is great for both men and women. Women that have a size 8 or larger might consider the 18 gauge as it is a more substantial ring and can take more abuse. Women that don't like dainty rings would be pleased with the 18 guage. These rings are very strong and should last a lifetime with proper care.
Large Mens
The next or largest size or gauge wire I work with is the 17 gauge you can tell these rings by the "16" in the stock # (example 616VY). This thickness is great for mens hands. Men with larger hands need thicker rings so the ring is not out of proportion to the hand. These rings are very substantial. People with small hands may find these rings uncomfortable because of the thickness between the fingers but those with larger hands or who like big gold rings will be very happy with this gauge ring.
Extra Large
Some people have very large hands and want very large rings. We can make any of our braids in a 16 guage by custom order. These rings are great even in sizes up to 16. Please call or email for pricing.
Silver
Because of the softness of silver we only make our silver braids in the Medium 18 and Extra Large 16 guages
