Dear Todd: When my husband lost his wedding band over a year ago we had no idea what we should do. Our original rings were very standard so we decided that we would do things differently this time and try to find matching wedding bands. We searched for months for “unique” bands, but every style looked manufactured and standard. We found your site on line and decided to take a chance and order rings. Todd Alan and his wonderfully helpful staff made sure our wedding day was perfect, just in the nick of time! With only a few short weeks left before our "spontaneous" wedding, we were thrilled to discover Todd Alan's handcrafted rings online. We wanted something unique and meaningful, and have better things to spend money on than a diamond! The beautiful braided design and their offer to create both rings out of one woven braid, "representing two separate individuals who choose to weave their lives together", clinched it for us. So, with little time to spare, we chose what we thought were our ring sizes (having never been married before, neither of us had ever worn a ring on that finger) and placed our order. The beautiful rings came right away, less than a week before the big day, but they were both too big - way too big! We would have had to tape them on just to wear them during the ceremony! We wanted everything to be perfect, of course, and were terribly disappointed. We had a million other details to take care of, and we resigned ourselves to getting married without our rings, but we called Todd Alan's studio to see if there was anything we could do. He and his staff could not have been more helpful! They immediately made two new, properly sized rings for us, at no charge, and air shipped them out. Did we mention that they did all of this during the two weeks leading up to Christmas?! They told us to just put the two rings we had in the mail and not worry about a thing. The rings arrived just in time for us to catch the ferry to our island wedding spot and relax and enjoy our wonderful day! We are so grateful to Todd Alan and his staff and have two shining reminders of their kindness and extraordinary service. And we are so thrilled with the rings themselves that we are in the process of ordering duplicates so that we will never be without them. hi todd and charlene, we received our rings on sat afternoon and were thrilled with them. they are beautiful!!! my husbands ring fits perfect and he couldnt keep a smile off his face nor stop looking at it constantly on his finger!! my ring is a bit snug so i may get it sized a half size larger. i cant begin to tell you how much these rings mean to us. they are so special with all the meaning behind them for us and the fact that they were hand crafted just for us. i have spread the word about your jewelry and everyone who has seen our rings is marveled by them. i want to wish you both the best and thank you for being a part of our future by making these rings. i thought i would share one last time the meaning of our rings. Dear Todd, I just have to thank you again for the beautiful wedding bands. I had planned a getaway to the mountains over Thanksgiving, rented a beautiful cozy mountain cabin and arranged for a minister from the area to come remarry us at the cabin as a surprise for my husband of almost 20 years. I smuggled his new suit up and a dress for me, and broke the news to him just a little while before the minister was due. By candlelight with a Jim Brickman cd in the background, we exchanged our vows by the fireplace. We both shed some tears and were overwhelmed by the ceremony. Thomas loved his new ring, especially the story behind it being specially made for us out of one braid of gold. We both agree that it is so meaningful, and the most comfortable ring we have ever worn. Several people have noticed our new rings, and commented on their beauty and uniqueness. I am in electronics, working as an electrician, and have worn several braided wire rings in the past. But that was only part of the reason we chose your rings. Todd, Our mail carrier apparently tried to deliver the package twice this week, but didn't leave the little orange cards until yesterday. I picked the rings up at the post office this morning. Really the pics on the auction do not justice for the actual item. I really bow down to you, with the short notice of only a week and half til the wedding day. You're auction said allow 2-3 weeks for shipping, but you, you had them to me in less then one week, and that was with the holiday too! You are by far the best experience for me, here on Ebay. As a same sex couple looking for wedding bands, we were made to feel awkward and even somewhat unwelcome at some jewelry stores so we quickly moved on to jewelry websites to do our browsing and hopefully our purchase of a unique beautiful band.
